A walk in a special garden

Last friday I visited the Keukenhof, which is the largest flower garden in the world and is located in a city in The Netherlands called Lisse. Although this was not the my first visit and I have posted previously some photos from that place, the colors and the beauty of this place is worth to repeat. What started as a rainy trip ended up being a nice day for pictures (although it was very cold). I really enjoyed seeing the great variety of colors that this garden has and I hope I was able to catch some of its beauty for you to see it as well. I hope you enjoy the photos :) wishing you all a great week!

Protests in Venezuela (My last shots)

During my last days in Venezuela I took some shots not only in Caracas but also in the city of San Cristobal. The protests that took place in many states of the country and that have already 3 months evolved differently on each city. San Cristobal was one of the most radical cities since most roads were blocked, nothing was opened (but some supermarkets and a few bakeries) and after 3p.m. the city was just isolated only protesters at the blockages could be seen. Also, the building of tourism which is owned by the government was burned and some cars that were parked there were also damaged; is not known yet who did this. For me it was definitely impressive to see the city this way because this is where I spent most of my time when I visit Venezuela. However, it is important to explain that the city is going back to normal now since the blockages were taken away and the militarization of the city does not allow the citizens to put them back.

I have shared here as well two photos of how one important university of the country looked like the day after some architecture students were brutally attacked inside campus. The name of the university is Universidad Central de Venezuela, also known as UCV. It is a public university and of course on a regular week day the campus is full of students.

The third set of photos that I shared in this post are from a protest that is taking place in front of the offices of the ONU and many students were camping there. The protesters also filled the exterior walls of the building with posters that contained different messages, but mostly they asked for help and to take action to bring peace to the country.

I can hope that with these photos I can show you a little bit of how the protests in Venezuela were. Wish you all a great week :)
