Simply Venezuela

Whenever someone asks me where I'm from, I put a huge smile on my face and answer with excitement Venezuela. I love my country and the people in it are amazin. They are always so welcoming, happy, hard workers, helpful whenever others need from them and between each other, dreamers, friendly, and many other things but if I keep on listing the post would be too long. After two years and a half without going to my country (the longest period I've had) I finally had the amazing opportunity to be with my family and friends for christmas and new years eve. As any other trip I took many photos, however, this time there were mostly about my family and friends. I picked some of those that showed just very little of Venezuela and decided to shared them here with all of you. I would like to point out that the pictures I'm posting are not showing the most beautiful touristic sights of Venezuela. I want to show these pictures because although Venezuela has an amazing potential for tourism and many landscapes to show the world, this is not something that is being promoted and taken care of. Venezuela has been for many years bad ruled by just a few and people are going through a difficult time. Many people live in poverty and don't have the right to have a good health care, basic necessities for the everyday and the food is not always what they want or need (for example, not everyday a person can find milk, sugar or salt in the supermarket). I never made a post like this before but I believe, just like the majority of Venezuelans, that we can do much better and have the potential to be a rich and beautiful country; so I thought it was worth to share this with all of you. This October coming we have presidential elections and hopefully we can finally stand up and let better years begin. Here are the photos and well I hope you all like them :)

For the month of December some of trees that are in the street are decorated with lights to give the city a special look for the festive days.

This is an "arepa" and this is the most typical food for us (in my opinion) and the one most people eat. So far to all the people that me and my mom have let try this dish, they all like it very much. Is like a bread for us and basically you can put anything you'll like in it.

Playing with Lights in Madrid

I enjoyed the life that Madrid has at night and also its beautiful colors. There was something different about the mixture of the light, the colors of the buildings and their architecture. While I was walking I took some photos and once I checked them at home I really liked some of them. Here are my favorites, I hope you like them as much as I did :)

Some of Madrid

Hello!
I know it's been a very long time since I have posted photos in here but I have not forgotten about this blog... In mid november, I had amazing trip to Madrid and of course I took some photos. I did not take that many, compared to what I usually take when I go to a new city. However, it was hard to pick from the few I have, so yes here are the ones I thought were the best. Many of them were taken in a park that just had the beautiful colors of autumn. Anyways I really hope you enjoy them and like them as well :)
